As I am sure you are well aware our efforts to re-design our bus runs in order to save money and increase the number of students on each bus by combining/redesigning some routes has been challenging. Our bus contract is with Dee Bus and changing of routes caused a significant change in bus drivers assigned to each route as the bus drivers are allowed to bid for their routes every year based on their preference, personal situation, and comfort with the geographic area that each bus route travels. Unfortunately, transportation for a district that has a high school run, middle school run, and elementary school run is almost a game of dominoes. If the high school run is late, then the middle school run will most likely be late, and the elementary runs will definitely be late (as the original lateness gets compounded as the number of stops increases as we move down the grade levels).

Unfortunately the “domino effect” has had significant impact to middle school and elementary school bus runs. Therefore we have no choice but to change the start time of a number of high school bus runs. Below please find a summary of those changes

High school bus runs:

Bus 1- New First Stop Time 6:24

Bus 2- First Stop Time Remains 6:40

Bus 3- New First Stop Time 6:41.

Bus 4- New First Stop Time 6:37

Bus 5- First Stop Time Remains 6:45

Bus 6- New First Stop Time 6:36

Bus 7- New First Stop Time 6:38

Bus 8- New First Stop Time 6:45

Bus 9- New First Stop Time 6:40

Bus 10- New First Stop Time 6:31

Bus 11- New First Stop Time 6:45

Bus 12- New First Stop Time 6:32

Bus 13- New First Stop Time 6:36

Bus 14 – New First Stop Time 6:35
