It was late in the afternoon on a summer day in August, but Lawrence Academy’s Network and Systems Administrator, Austin Bradstreet, was available to facilitate the donation of NEC Projectors for the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District. With our car full to the brim with projectors and mounts, Mr. Bradstreet even offered to use his truck to deliver the remaining units to our central office at Prescott School.
After Mark Burkholz, the Director of Technology at Lawrence Academy, reached out to our district, the GDRSD technology department was extremely appreciative of this opportunity and knew the NEC LT280 projectors would find a suitable home in our classrooms.
Although these projectors are older, they are very high quality, projecting in high-definition with multiple inputs for laptops and tablets.
As of September 30th, the technology department has been able to install a half-dozen projectors across the district, which will enhance student learning and make our lessons come to life! With this generous support from Lawrence Academy, in the near future, additional classrooms will be outfitted with projectors, replacing existing, aging equipment. We will also be able to outfit new locations, which will require our team to install the proper mounts and wiring first.
A special thank you to both Lawrence Academy and their Technology Department for the generous support and donation of this equipment. It is already going to great use!
